Heartswings is a Hispanic DMV post-punk trio formed in early 2025 by three lifelong friends: Jake Blake, Calixto IV, and Neil Cruz. After initially jamming out in local talent shows during their middle and high school days, they have since reunited after college with a dark tone that has been described as both timeless and urgently new. Jake, co-frontman of the darkwave band Social Station (Young & Cold Records), handles vocals and bass, bringing seasoned talent off of U.S. and European tours. Beside him, Calixto leads on guitar; as an independent producer, his remixes have reached more than 50 million viewers across all platforms. Anchored by Neil’s propulsive drumming, together they channel the brooding minimalism of bands like Joy Division and Interpol. Heartswings looks to revitalize post-punk for a new generation
